Posy.

So, by accident, i just found a blog that makes me feel head over heels for it.

I would say that her life and her pictures beautifully represent a kind of life that everyone dreams about. At least, it is what i see myself doing! :)

I love the fact that she keeps recording everything of her daily life in photos, including her handmade jobs, pics of her family, her job (as a school teacher), some facts of her past, her childhood and so on.

It is truly nice to read it when you want new and good ideas for your life!

#9 Dream(s).

So, i´m still daydreaming about rooms and houses. It´s nice because i truly have some inspiration plans for my future house, maybe we get a real one next year. It´s only depending if we´re still living here during Phd or not. Hope so... :)

Toys in the Attic: i like the fact that attics aren´t necessary a place to keep old things inside it. On the contrary: they were built to be a room of one´s own!

This one reminds me living in a dollhouse...perfect!

Bedrooms and living rooms: they are my favourite places in a house.

Lots and lots of books and pictures on the wall...

Her apartment is totally inspirational...

Books again, all over the place...

This is a "just you and me" living room...

I love this view from this pretty bedroom...and i love the fact that there is also a cat in it!

Since me and hubby are teachers and nerds, we love reading books and comic books.
Therefore, we really dream living in a small apartment where we can place all his collection of comics, my peanuts collection of comics, our toy collection (his DC and Marvel figures and my Snoopy collection figures), all over the place.

Books are part of our both professional e spiritual life. I really love places that keep books everywhere, because you never feel lonely when you have them by your side all the time.

A room of one´s own.

I dream about a house in many colours. I believe my life dreams about colours. All of them, actually.

Since I was 15 i dreamed about having my own place - space. A room just for myself, where i could feel apart from the world outside for some moments. But i keep wondering: why is it so difficult to "conquer" our own space? This is an old time question. Virgina Woolf once talked about it, in 1929, in her famous essay A Room of One´s Own: "(...)a woman must have money and a room of her own if she wants to write fiction".

What Virginia Woof said about it is basically that everybody (in this specific case, the women) needs independency and a space to do what they want.

My case does not stand to writing fiction, but about one having his/her own space, to do whatever they want. I feel that this quote, however, fits very well in every situation. Just change "writing fiction" to "do something you love, in a space you love".

More than never i realized how much home means one´s identity. It doesn´t matter where you live or where you are. Everyone needs a place-space to "feel at home". It gets even more important if you live in cold weather places, where you spend most of your time at home.

Well, lately, in my life, i´ve been changing places a lot. First, from my mother´s house to my boyfriend´s house; then, to our own apartment and then to our room (residence hall) in Porto.

Living in this room is quite nice, although is just a room and a bathroom (and it´s warm enough during the winter!). But, it´s basically a room, and, unfortunately, you are not allowed to make any changes in this space.

As we grow older, all we keep thinking is settling down. And i don´t mean only getting married and having babies, but most important: having our own space in some place.

These pics are truly an inspiration for the time when i finally get a real home:

This is a nice place to read a book, have a cup of hot coco, talk to friends or listen to music:

I see myself having sweet dreams in a room like this one:
I could spend days and days in this home office:

Don´t watch me dancing.

Margarida has a strange appeal
Sways between suitors on a broken heel
Of course her desires they always mistook
She'd rather've been scarred than be scarred with loathe

In conversation she often contends
Costumes build customs that involve dead ends
She found her courage in a change of scene
This Sunday's social would be short its queen

All her best years spent distracted
By these tired reenactments
With the right step she'll try her chances
Somewhere else

There he is a step outside her view
Reciting the words he hoped she might pursue
Night upon night a faithful light at shore
If he'd only convince his legs across the floor

Please, don't watch me dancing
Oh no, don't watch me dancing

Something changes when she glances
Enough to teach you what romance is
With the right step they try their chances
Somewhere else

Please, don't watch me dancing
Don't watch me dancing

Koop

É ela quem dá vida a bela I see a different you.
